A Message from our President
Hello City of Cambridge Residents and Business Owners,
I would like to take a brief moment of your time to provide you with some information about who we are and what we do.
The purpose of the CFRA is for assisting, in both support and in financial needs for, the families of deceased members, the care for the sick or disabled members or when a member retires and needs some help adjusting to the change.
This association was organized by enactment of the Massachusetts General Court in 1892 and it is still helping members in need today as it has for over the past hundred years.
Our association has over two hundred and seventy five members. Our executive office consists of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Director at Large and a Director for each of the fire department’s fourteen fire companies and one Director for the staff members. All of whom devote their time and work tirelessly to ensure that your fire department’s members and families receive the best in times of need.
To accomplish our mission we rely on fundraising through generous donations from you. To assist us in achieving this, we contract with a professional fundraising organization that may on occasion call upon you to give what you can to support our efforts.
