The new members (13 from Cambridge and 1 from Somerville) participated in a vehicle extrication drill at Phil’s Tow yard. Engine 3, Truck 1 (with Tactical Rescue 1), Division 1, and Somerville Engine 7 also participated.

 Congratulations and Welcome

FFOP Joseph Fournier, son of our own Cammy Fournier, graduated from The Massachusetts Firefighting Academy (Class 184) on June 19, 2009. He will be assigned to Engine 3/Group 1. 

FFOP Fournier was classmate to FFOP Galvin Murphy Jr, son of our own Galvin Murphy. FFOP Murphy is a member of the Malden Fire Department.

The fire at Box 19, 75-77 Seventh St, is now suspected to be arson. The fire is being investigated by FIU and police. Link to article is below.

CFD Lt's. Brian Higgins, Pat Haggerty, FF's Eric Moore, Steve Jeffres and Gene Myrtil were honored for their military service at City Hall on Friday, April 13. Additionally CFD's newest members were sworn in. Congratulations to all. Link below.
